A friend and I went for Happy Hour. Ordered a few items each. Was tasty and filling. Service was fine. Sat on the patio at night. The waiter put the heater on for us. Would go there again.

The environment is great the food is very tasteless, The happy our menu, bland salad, bland soup and so so main dish small portion. The crab cakes extremely dry. I wont be back there although it look really good from the outside. Big disappointment . The even charge us wrong.

Especially on Sundays! The entire day on happy hour....should be happy day! Very nice food, attentive waiters, great outside seating in the summer.

Modern China Cafe has a nice dim sum menu - no carts, you have to order, but then your food comes out hot. Service is very good, and they have some very creative dishes. This is the best remaining dim sum in Contra Costa, with no msg and food allergy issues. Highly recommended!

Fantastic happy hour foods and drinks for a real bargain. costs.......$3, $5, $7 ....drinks and appetisers until 7PM. WOW!!!! 5 of us ate and drank our fill with great service. Call for reservations and sit on their beautiful patio. The bill? a mear $35.00 each. In Walnut Creek that is a pittence. a few parking (metors) in the back.

The good: They do make very good Asian food…perfectly cooked, no MSG, not too salty, no skimping on top ingredients…very yummy. The only dish that lacked flavor was the fried rice.
