The almond croissant is pretty amazing. You should get it. The macarons are delicious as well. They do a nice job and if you're in the area or need some dessert for an occasion, it's worth a visit.

It was a buttery almond pastry that was so delicious I'll never forgewt it! OMG! And the coffee is wonderful. They know how good they are and the price reflects this. Worth every dollar!
If you want real French pastry head to Renaud's. It is without a doubt the best in town. There are a few tables outside, but it has rather limited eating space. So grab a couple of croissants and head down to the beach. You won't be sorry.

If only we had found this on our first day instead of our last. Maybe folks want to keep this place a secret but whether you want a full blown breakfast or just the perfect croissant or other French pastry, this is the place. Even the decaf coffee is great. It is tucked away in the corner of a strip...

We visited Santa Barbara after recently traveling to Paris this summer. We found the pastries to be quite authentic and delicious. The salted caramel macaroons were amazing. My husband also enjoyed his Kona coffee. I would definitely go back if we were to visit Santa Barbara again.
You can not go wrong with Renaud's - it reminds me of an old world bakery. Delicious cakes, macaroons, coffees. It's a place to see and be seen in the mornings.
The cookies, macaroons and chocolates are exquisite. It's great to have a branch of Renaud's inside of Gelson's too. Haven't had lunch there but it looks good.
We had a delightful al fresco brunch at Renaud's. All the food was excellent. We had muffins, eggs Benedict, French toast and lots of coffee. While it is not the cheapest place in town, it was absolutely worth the price.
