We were in Millbrae for one night before a flight out the next morning. Our hotel recommended this restaurant as it was within walking distance, so we decided to try it out. The restaurant area didn't look busy at all, but because we didn't have reservations, we were seated in the very noisy bar area. Lots of locals having fun... More

This place is small and crowded. Prices are average to above-average. No tap beer. Strike one! Bad rail-vodka. Strike two! A steak place with no blue-cheese stuffed olives (blue cheese and steaks go hand in hand). Strike three! ...the strikes kept coming in subsequent innings. Food quality is below par. Sixteen Mile claims to be experts at "surf and turf".... More

The Sixteen Mile house has been around for as long as I can remember and has always been a favorite of mine when in the Millbrae area. The bar has always been a hang out for locals but welcoming to others. Several years ago it was bought by the present owner and he closed and refurbished the bar and restaurant... More

When I walked in a bit prior to 5pm the bar had what looked like neighborhood regulars on the stools. They seemed to know each other, there were a couple of stools marked "reserved" at the bar which filled not too long after I got there. I was told there would be a short wait until they were ready for... More

I took a colleague here one evening and we not only had a great meal but also a great time. We arrived around six pm and the place was not crowded at all, we opted to sit at the brand have a couple of cocktails before dinner. The bartendress was so friendly we decided todine with her. I had the... More

We chose Sixteen Mile House because of its location near SFO and its menu. One daughter was taking a late- night flight and one son was coming from Sausalito, so location was important. We were a party of 9 and our reservation for a Friday night (live music night) was taken without difficulty. We were seated at a long table... More

We enjoyed a very nice family dinner at Sixteen Mile House. All four of us were very pleased with our meals. The steaks were cooked well and the seafood quite fresh and delicious. The salad made table side is great as each person can choose the salad fixings to their liking. Loved the huge, delicious baked potatoes and garlicky spinach... More

Liked the atmosphere and the service. The food was liked by all and Peter's Zinfandel selection was the best. Great history on the 16 mile name in the menu.

We went to Peter's first Valentines Day since he reopened the place. We have been there ten times or so and the food is excellent. Valentines Day was no exception, a great filet and lobster tail combination. The wine list is reasonably priced and the food portions are generous. I especially like the prime rib, which is world class. For... More
