Description: Left Bank is an authentic French brasserie celebrating Mediterranean Cuisine. Located in Menlo Park's charming downtown, Left Bank transports guests to a quaint brasserie in Paris. Open since 1998 and completely re-modeled in 2008, Left Bank offers a casual, charming brasserie setting where diners feast upon classic southern French cuisine. Our outdoor sidewalk cafe seating evokes a lively European atmosphere and is the perfect place for just an appetizer and beer or a 3-course meal with a beautiful bottle of wine. Whether it's at our sidewalk table, the gorgeous glass-walled bar, or in the casually elegant main dining room, you'll enjoy a fun & french experience. Thirteen years of working with local organic farms allows us to bring you the best seasonal ingredients available. Chef de Cuisine Steven Catalano offers an always changing menu focused on Southern French Cuisine.

Visited twice while in the Meno Park area and both nights we had great service, excellent Happy hour treats. The sliders were the best I can remember having anywhere. Generous size with fries on the side.It is what a late night spot should be like, fun, bright, casual. I also like the high ceilings, the decor and ambiance.

Went for an early Friday night dinner. Got a nice booth as requested but meal went downhill from there. Ordered the Soup du Jour (cream of asparagus) and onion soup as starters. My wife got the latter but when she got served, they brought me some type of asparagus salad. When I told them I didn't order that, they said... More

Have lunch here often with friends - always sit outside if the weather is nice - noisy inside. Salad nicoise is the best.

The food is constantly good here. Normally we eat dinner here but had a holiday brunch instead. We had a private area upstairs. Dinner downstairs can be a little noisy. We ask for a booth. Food is always good but a little pricy.

Ate here with a large group for dinner on business. Was a bit louder atmosphere than ideal, but not horrible (tile floors). Get the fondue--it's amazing. Fine service though not impeccable. "Fancy" entrees and fine dining prices.

We met here for a birthday celebration and were stunned by the decor and the service. The food was incredibly wonderful. Our server suggested the fondue witha side of fries . . . heaven! The birthday girl had the Croque Monsieur and I ordered the Brasserie Steak Frites w/Bernaise. Both of our meals were pefect and our server, Jennifer, was... More

The food here is consistent and good. We love the happy hour from 3-6 everyday, and then from 9-closing, though we usually end up on the earlier side. The decor cannot be beat, but I wish it had a more lively ambience.

We were meeting friends in the South Bay Area, and they suggested The Left Bank. Being unfamiliar with that part of the world, we readily agreed to meet them there. What a delight! The restaurant's ambiance is charming, the service is excellent, the bar scene is active and the bartender is fast. Two of us had the risotto, which was... More

We dined at the Left Bank on New Years Eve and the experience was up and down on the scale. I ordered the lobster bisque, the special soup of the day - the bisque was nothing short of horrible: very bland - the only pronounced flavor was that of a lobster shell, but not a trace of any other bit...
