The food is very good. They always serve breakfast, and have a nice variety of specials, including meats, veggies, or sandwiches. The waitress was very friendly. Overall it was a good experience.

The food at this diner is excellent. We go there whenever we are in San Pedro. They had run out of one of the specials when we went and waiter recommended off the menu. It was awesome.

We were taking a Sunday morning trip up PCH and thought we'd try a Triple-D diner we'd heard of. It was easy to find and looked every inch a diner or dive. We received a friendly greeting by the hostess as soon as we walked in the door who put our name on the list. After a short wait (10... More

Two friends and I visited the USS Iowa and needed a lunch place in San Pedro. I had done some research and found that Gaffey Street Diner had been featured on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-in's, and Dives". This is a traditional old fashioned American diner. I'm not sure that it qualifies for a dive, but it may be close. We... More

In the area for a business trip and needed to find somewhere for breakfast. Found this place on Tripadvisor and though I would give it a go. Really can't understand why there is so much hype about it just because it featured on TV channel "The Food Network". It was busy on a Sunday morning, the service was attentive but... More

If you are on a diet or health problems this is not a restaurant for you. The portions are HUGE and almost everthing on the menu high cholesterol item and you can get a heart attact after the meal. The service is really good but there is not much to talk about the food... Do we go back again? I... More

Even though there are lots of breakfast spots in the San Pedro area, I never pass up going to Gaffey Street Diner. Yes, I first found out about it on Food Network and it didn't disappoint then or now. My husband and I stopped this Labor Day. Got in before the crowd (there was an run event in San Pedro... More

There was a small line on a busy saturday brunch. What is great about this place is definitely the service and the huge portions. However i have to say i was slightly disappointed with the food. In terms of diners, its not the best I've had though to be fair I'm not really a fan of diner type food. Their... More

Hey Trippers - it's been a while since I've had the gumption to review anything. The news was correct (for once...) when they said that this was going to be an AWFUL allergy season!!! Anyway, had a wonderful late brekkie at The Gaffey Street Diner the other day. I ordered the bacon & cheese omelette which consisted of, probably, half... More

Their popularity just went off the roof every since they were on Food TV network, everything here is really good. There was another review about their biscuit and gravy. The biscuits are made fresh every morning and they are huge and fluffy. Eat it with butter, or even better, home made sausage gravy. My husband likes their hashbrown (extra crispy!)... More
