Went based on a friends recommendation wasn't sure about the menu when we arrived. Jennifer our waitress was great and walked us through the menu and her favorite items. Nothing disappointed, unique tastes and atmosphere Completely enjoyed the duck and yam and spiced beef pizza were unbelievable and the brussel sprout salad (can't believe i tried) was amazing. Would visit... More

We were so delighted with the food at this restaurant, that we returned again in the same week. As the inside was a little noisy, we dined outside and were very comfortable with the heated tented apparatus. The food was very fresh, unique, and tasty with a varied combination of spices. The presentation was very inviting. We tried several dishes... More

My wife Lorna and I were visiting the Bradbury Building with a cousin-by-marriage Barry. Lorna always likes to find somewhere different to eat when she can. Since Baco Mercat was only several blocks away from the Bradbury, we walked over. It appeared small to me but it was almost full when we got there close to noon on a Saturday.... More

At Baco Mercat, there's no doubt the thing to get is the Baco. A combo of Taco and Pita (closer to Pita) while this restaurant is incorrectly labeled here as Middle Eastern, the Pita like Baco, might be the reason why. I'd stick to the Original on your first try. Jammy pork & beef carnitas in a totally filling (not... More

Based on the lead on this site, we decide to give a try when we were visiting USC. Made an easy reservation online a week and so ahead, and got the 7PM slot we wanted. We arrived 15min earlier and were seated immediately. The place is a little bigger and noisier that I expected (based on the impression got from... More

A feast of small-plate dishes. We loved the variety of the food and enjoyed some fantastic wine. The service was spot on.

Was definitely surprised with the quality of food. Freshly prepared, very creative dishes. You want original, this is your oasis. Beer menu was good. Mitigate the noise by bringing ear plugs, if you are inside. This place is popular. The people sitting outside seemed to enjoy themselves, as well.

All 4 of us dined here for the first time and all adored it. Such a treat! Everything was delicious, imaginative, and with a great presentation. So fun to try everything -- and so good! We dined, over a long weekend lunch, and the place was full and energetic. Great bubbly drinks, too! Very festive! Bonnie, our server, was fantastic... More

I'm glad I went but I probably won't return. This is absolutely not LA's best restaurant. The food was good, but hit or miss. The service was very good but the presentation was poor. They specialize in small plates that are not easily shared. They served a large soup for the table but didn't provide a ladle to portion it... More

Just reading the menu her is an absolute pleasure! Love reading about food the names of which I can't even pronounce! Now that's ding out! This place deserves top stop as the food is always simply delicious Tip, don't order so much, portions are generous
