I ate here with a large party of ladies getting ready for a wedding. The food was not stellar, with many small complaints (too sweet, too wet, underdone, etc etc). The Coast Toast is closer to bread pudding than French Toast and I'm pretty sure it gave me food poisoning. The view is very nice and service was speedy for... More

This restaurant should be a perfect location and it is if view is all you're after. There is a smaell from the sea lions off the coast that is not very appetizing at all. A delivery truck pulled up in front while we were eating and blocked the view for about 1/2 hour anyway. The food was very mediocre and... More

Stopped in after a recommendation from locals to grab quick bite with my sons. Location is on quaint street overlooking the La Jolla Cove. Views are beautiful. Food was sensational. Ate outdoors which was beautiful under umbrellas and trees. Had an appetizer of shrimp and mango salsa which we're still talking about weeks later! The only caution was a stench... More

This was probably the worst breakfast we have ever had. After reading the reviews, we felt certain that it would be an excellent choice and drove the distance from San Diego. The french toast was really thick and completely uncooked inside ~ and the eggs benedict "word famous" was so awful, this was also left uneaten. The eggs were hardboiled... More

I was staying nearby in La Jolla and found this restaurant online. I was looking for somewhere to grab a nice breakfast while sitting outside enjoying a view of the La Jolla Cove area. I hit the jackpot with this place. It is what looks like an old home (sign says 1854) with an attached outdoor patio area. The patio... More

Always a good view. Casual atmosphere, excellent service, very good food. We ordered from the appetizers, which were plentiful for 2 along with wine. Did not care for the white wine sangria. Very unusual flavor.

Don't miss this gem in La Jolla. Great food with great service and a view you will never forget. Their French Toast is famous and the ribs were "fall off the bone" yummy.

Best french toast in California. Beautiful view of the coast. But if the wind is coming in the wrong direction, the stench from bird feces can be an issue.

The outdoor seating is beautiful, a peaceful place under trees with a view along the place. The food is carefully prepared and well presented and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our diner in this nice place.

Monday summer sunset, a lovely venue. Fish was very good and a good value. Not an extensive wine list. Service was pleasant and efficient.
