We had a very good experience at La Casita last Saturday. They do not take reservations on weekends so we got there and there were people outside waiting (there is no place inside to wait, it is a small place). We were told it would be about 25 minutes and in 27 minutes, we were seated. As we waited, they... More

We went to La Casita Mexicana several years ago and have always wanted to return. We went for dinner and we were sorely disappointed. The menu had changed. It was much larger than our last visit. Our waiter was great and the first course of lentil soup was delicious. We ordered an Azteca cheese fondue that came with house made... More

Delicious. I am one third way through the menu and have not been disappointed yet. I did not know about the ´famous´ side of it (what does not matter at all. I go there to eat and have a good time). Quaint sized place, cute decoration, huge plates and delicious food (all courses!). Spanish is not needed but can be... More

We came to eat here after reading several LA restaurant reviews that recommended it for its authentic Mexican cuisine. It's not otherwise located in an area one would want to visit -- actually the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. But don't worry, you can park right outside and there is no problem with safety. In another part of town, this... More

Very few truly good, tasty, healthy Mexican restaurants in L.A. Area. This is a small, hole in the wall, clean restaurant, located in a town more famous for its dirty politicians than for its's good, hard working residents. The food is varied and delicious! Best to order a variety of entrees and share/ feast! Be sure to order an appetizer... More

The mole is too overrated... the spanish & Food Network TV programs have not really tasted a good mole and prices are extremely high.

Small portions not worth what they charge. Beans not included with meal, you have to pay extra for small order of beans (in a Mexican restaurant?). Beans tasted canned. Waiter was very good. Food was just OK. I will not return!

Tres moles with home made tortilla & glass of lemonade was GREAT. One of the best Mexican restaurants in town. Nice place with very good service :)

Food: 5/5: The food is top-notch. This is authentic Mexican cuisine, so do not expect Americanized Acapulco/El Torito/Chevys-type or processed-meat-and-cheese-type food or towering portions. Instead, expect to experience nuances of spices and flavor. The traditional mole was delicious. I also enjoyed the mushroom and cactus-stuffed chile relleno (a tasty vegetarian alternative to the Americanized deep-fried variety), I tried the chorizo... More

After seeing this restaurant on "Throwdown" with Bobby Flay I had to try it. Up front let me say I travel to Mexico 3 to 4 times a year for Business and have been doing so for the past 14 years, so I am very familiar with "Authentic" Mexican food. I saw the rerun of the Chili relleno throwdown from... More
