Very handy Dining Room on Dovercourt Promenade. Good menu with competitively priced meals. Friendly and attentive service. Nicely presented waiters!! Sadly, this hotel no longer serves meals in the original dining room.

The English kitchen used to have a bad reputation for overcooked food. Well here is an example. The Sunday Roast promised a choice between Roast beef or Roast lamb. The Lamb wasn't there so I had to take the beef. It tasted like part of the potatoes had been in the oven, part of it was cooked, really strange. Overcooked...
