I love this restaurant and its authentic and delicious local food. It's not fussy but the food and service are both delicious, and I love the old place the best.

The servings are generous and food has authentic taste. Have been here twice. It is one of our favourite restaurants in Tucson. It is a little expensive, but the food is worth paying for. So no complaints.
Generous servings and authentic tastes, with helpful and pleasant staff. I went back twice for the awesome salads.
I am not from this area and was grateful to find a nice restaurant within reasonable proximity to my hotel. The weather was perfect for my colleague and I to dine al fresco, but I guess that might have made the service a little "removed". Our server was a young man who was polite but definitely not on his best...

We visited this cafe during Happy Hour two times. The first visit brought us back for the second. The wait staff and hostesses could not possibly be beat. The cocktails and appetizers are top line also. The prices are so good you'll think they didn't charge you for half of what you had or the prices are so low you'll...

Great service, atmosphere and excellent food. We will be back. Our favorite stop on Tucson. There are two locations. We went to Oro Valley
There's the items they're famous for (like the excellent carne seca), but they have a very extensive menu, with lots of nice surprises. I love their baked cheese crisp... no cheese limp here!
My wife had the green corn tamales and the masa was nicely textured and fluffy and they were very tasty. The Spanish rice is very well done...

My wife and I go to El Charro Cafe a couple of times a month. We always try to sit at the bar and enjoy Happy Hour. The appetizers are half off as are the house margaritas. With a beautiful view of the mountains at sunset, we just relax. I almost always have the mini-chimi platter enchilada style and have...

Try some of their specials. Good portion size and price. Will definitely visit again. Had their 90th anniversary special and had eats I'd never seen before.
We had dinner at El Charro, based on TA reviews, and we were not disappointed. The three of us (including our 16-year-old son) agreed that is was one of the most delicious and memorable meals of our 10-day trip to Arizona. The complimentary chips and salsa are bottomless and delicious. The tacos - both beef and salmon - were excellent,...
