This was the second time my wife and I went here for lunch. Fortunately we had a coupon for a free entree because the food is overpriced for what you get. Our server was friendly, but not real efficient. We both ordered ices teas ($2.95 each) but when they came the tes was so warm it had melted all the... More

Had dinner at Steak Out with colleagues and friends while attending a conference at Dove Mountain Ritz. This is a casual steak "joint", yes, I called it a joint. The steaks were good, the dinner salads - two different ones at table of 6 were fresh and good, also served as ordered. The atmosphere is a steak house, nothing more... More

Over-priced, mediocre food. Not many options on the menu, and not much is modifiable. If you want a great, family friendly steakhouse with truly reasonable prices and a warm, friendly atmosphere, opt for Taste of Texas at Thornydale and Cortaro. It's what The Steak Out bills itself as, but isn't.

Our first visit months ago was with a Groupon. Due to that, our choices were limited. That day the food was average, not good, not bad, but certainly nothing special. What intrigued us was the "specials" they listed for lunch - a $3 burger sounded great. Fast forward to today. We finally had a chance to try it for lunch.... More

The chips were shiny with oil, and not tasty. The salsa was bland, and made out of canned tomatoes. Entrees come with no sides at all. They are ordered separately, and can't be ordered for one person. Everything but baked beans was a 2-person portion. That is just stupid. Why would anyone not allow all their diners to get exactly... The concierge at the Ritz Dove Mountain suggested the Steak Out as a kid friendly local restaurant and he was right. It is a 1951 establishment and has a casual, ranch/old west atmosphere. We had lunch here with the kids and the burgers were terrific. The steak cut french fries were also great. The cobb salad was a bit heavy... More

Consistently good steaks and other meat dishes, with generous and crisp salads, and tasty unique side dishes. Good bartenders that don't short you on the drinks and even a live band on the weekends. Friendly and professional wait staff that attend to your needs closely. If you ask for Rare, or Medium Well, that's what you'll get. Always seem busy,... More

We landed at this restaurant with some friends after they had heard about some great $5.00 burgers on Thursday nights. Well, we arrived around 6:30 on Thursday to be seated quickly, and then we waited, and waited, and waited for a server to finally bring us some water and chips with salsa and take our drink orders. There were no... More

One person working entire bar area 11/4 evening. Lamb chops served to us raw after asking for Medium. Taken to kitchen and returned to us looking shriveled and unappetizing. They charge WAAAAY too much to be treating their clientele like this!!!

We are "locals" and have dined at this establishment once prior to this LAST visit. On a previous visit, my wife and I were turned off by being offered a salad in a plastic or composite material bowl that looked like a dog chewed the edges. We swore we would not come back and I notified the County Health Department... More
