What a near perfect view and outlook , feels a bit like Swiss family Robinson in a tree house, Standard of Food was a little dissapointing (ie I had the Prawns/Noodles and while the portion was good lot of noddles , my partner had the rice dish which she mentioned was alittle bland, Prices high mains typically NZD$40.00 plus... and... Food: a real shame but this 5 star resort didn’t live up to expectations for the breakfast or dinner. Sesame-crumbed prawn starters with grilled watermelon sounded great but were dry and lacking flavour. Steaks ordered medium-rare turned up consistently well done. Soft poached eggs turned up well done. Tuna was served dry. Every ‘fish of the day’ dish was tuna... More

It's hard to get eggs benedict wrong - nevertheless the allegedly 5 star Pacific Resort managed too. Beautiful surroundings, good service, but poor food

We ate here three times during our stay in a bungalow on the island and were not disappointed. Coming from Switzerland, we found the lunch prices quite reasonable. The view over the lagoon is amazing and the staff friendly and efficient. The soft drinks are too expensive. Might as well drink beer!

This is probably the best spot to watch the sun go down on the island. It is quite pricey, but fine for special occasions. Ask for a table overlooking the water. The food was delicious; they even had NZ lamb on the menu! Great for a special occasion!

This is up with one of the most beautiful places I have ever dined. The menu, service and ambience were all perfect. It was elegant without being stuffy. Order anything, drink anything - you won't be disappointed! Book early to get a table on the balcony and get there for sunset.

Here's a challenge to all great chefs - run a restaurant on a tropical island and serve amazing food. Here's a hint for those same great chefs: amazing food needs ultra-fresh ingredients. So, if your restaurant is on a tropical island, your menu must reflect what's local so it's fresh. Take the local produce, cook and present it well, and... More

We booked for a special dinner as a bit of a splurge. Prices were steep, but food was definitely a step up from other places we ate on Aitutaki. All the lower level tables were reserved for in-house guests, but we had a table on the upper level with a good view of the lagoon. We both chose fish dishes... More

A last minute change to plans meant we had to find a restaurant which we hadn't visited that offered vegetarian food. The menu at the accommodation suggested we would be well catered for here and so we made a booking and promptly made our way to the resort. The setting was beautiful on what was a very warm night but... More
