We had a delicious dinner here per the advice of someone at our hotel reception. My husband and I ordered the arroz con pollo with imperial lights to wash it all down. Off the main road, open air, typical soda - exactly what we were looking for. Spent under $50 for the two of us. Will be back!

The restaurant is set off the main road and kind of hard to find. It's small and open atmosphere. The food was fantastic!!! One of the best meals I had during my stay. The Saltin was great!!

El Arado is AMAZING! A chef of 20 years, I have eaten my fair share of delicious food. During my travels in Costa Rica I ate many places, always trying the local Casado dishes when possible. I ate delicious seafood all over, but none that compared to the "Pescado Entero" (Whole Fish) at El Arado. Served Fried or Grilled (I... More

This was highly recommended by our hotel as the best place for local food. It's just a few minutes off the main road . The four us tried everything , the whole fish , the shrimp, the beef and their house specialty. We started with the mahi mahi civiche. Everything was great. Our kids, 18 and 24 , were equally... Our hotel recommended this place as the best place for local food. I had the Saltin and it was my favorite dinner meal of our trip. Service was excellent.

My husband and son were able to go fishing with the owner who then took their catch to the restaurant, cooked in a traditional Costa Rican way and served us for dinner. Was fantastic!!

The staff at the Plaza Yara hotel recommended El Arado and we were not disappointed. it is just an open sided restaurant serving good quality local food at a great price. We had prawns in garlic butter and the Saltin (fish dish) and they were both excellent. It is a bit difficult to find as it is not signed from... More

This place is right next to Hotel Villa Teca and has excellent food! I ate there everyday that I was in Manuel Antonio. The couple that own the restaurant are very sweet people and the wife who cooks most of the food is aware of gluten allergies and Celiacs. She mentioned that she has removed flour from her sauces. I... More

This small, open-air, family-run restaurant is a wonderful experience for those who want a relaxed, delicious home-cooked meal. Rather than a printed menu, you can tell the owner/cook what you want and she will make you a complete meal with their fresh meats and ingredients. Secret tip: stay around and ask when the families of spider monkeys are expected -... More

Great authentic experience - great food and very reasonably priced. That's the way me and my wife felt yesterday visiting this place. It's not on the main road, but this place was reccommened to us and we decided to try. If you enjoy GREAT food go here, it's only 100 m off the main road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio... More
