Earlier whenever I used to visit Chennai I used to visit Saravana Bhavan nowadays I also visit Saravana Bhavan when I'm at Delhi. Pongal, Set dosas and 14 idlies are my all time favourites at Saravana Bhavan.Excellent taste, excellent service reasonable price and being light on stomach make it a winner.

If you wanna taste authentic and mouthwatering south indian food and great variety at a reasonable cost than you cannot miss saravana bhavan. Tip: reach on time as the queues are really long during lunch and dinner peak hours.

I am surprised to see that one of the members has written that getting a chance to gain entry is still problematic at Saravana Bhavan, at peak hours. I too faced the same difficulty when I visited in Sept 2010. It is there still in May 2013. But as usual the food is good. Service is good. For the diet... More

it is most satisfying meal, but beware of going in peak time, as queues might be long. But, once you settle down and start your meal, there is no end to your belly satusfaction. Surely, try the desserts - worth it.

We have been to Sarvana Bhavan for breakfast many times and always come back happy with the experience. A well served wholesome and a tasty South Indian food. My personal favourite is the 14 idlies which come dipped in sambar with a glass of butter milk

We've eaten there more than once before, and the food was as good as always, When we passed there recently (the Janpath location, not to be confused with any other), it looked like a government office, with a doorman taking names from the small crowd and shouting when there was availability. Once inside, there was no rush at all, with... More

Tourists to Delhi, when you go to the Cottage Emporium on Janpath, skip the McDonalds and get some REAL food. This great South Indian restaurant two doors down has excellent food and is very reasonable. Try what I had and loved: the South Indian filter coffee, the Dahi Vadai, and a Coconut Rava Masala Dosa. All the sauces are fresh... More

I have been eating here a lot and I really love the food here especially the Dosas. They give you a feel of authentic south indian food with their numerous chutneys which just add to the taste buds delight.
