I cannot explain the cuisine. That is art! Every dish was an experience for it self with a story behind. The chef is an absolute virtuoso, a Renaissance man in the kitchen.

We visited this restaurant with a big group. In my experience groups are not always easy to handle but the chef did not lose control. All food was served in time and we were all very happy with the personal advice of the chef. I had lobster and enjoyed it till the last bite, though i kept feeling sorry for...

Myself and Rob_H (c.f. previous review) were searching for an honestly priced lobster. Enticed by the prospect of a starter of lobster-stuffed carpaccio at Passarola, we decided to forgo out initial plans and dine at Passarola.
For £18, we were served a large plate of rocket, topped with a hint of beef - a quantity akin to that of parmesan...

Went to this restaurant last week, was really lovely. We sat on the upstairs terrace, which had a great atmosphere and you could look down into the restaurant with the wood burning oven etc. We had a complimentary appetiser of tuna pate and then I had scallops, whilst my boyfriend had a mushroom and prawn pasta followed by a steak....

We loved it here. The food and service was really good. Location is great as well. A must if you go to Hvar!
We visited the resturant last night for the first time, this is our second vist to Hvar in the last 12 months.we have dinned at most of the top rated trip adviser resturants with great experiences . This was far the worst by far. The food was very average, the service was good but not friendly the metode was mr no...

We dined at Passarola looking for a really good dining experience in Hvar. Initially we were looking for some fresh lobster (normal Hvar-price for lobster is around 240Kn per half kilo). Despite the price at Passarola being 400Kn per half kilo the menu looked enticing and the appointing of the whole place was lovely. We thought maybe we'd forgo a...

Excellent atmosphere, impeccable service, great food and wine list (yes wine in Croatia is touch and go). We are returning to this restaurant prior to our departure, it was exceptional. 'Garifel' is also very good as a follow on, and perhaps Devine. Passarola takes the top award though for Hvar.
If you are looking for something to exceed the typical pizza, pasta, grilled meat offering that is pretty standard (and pretty average) in most of the local Dalmatian restaurants then try Passarola. The attention to detail from the quality of fit-out to the presentation of the food and service is excellent. On our travels we have spent similar money for...

What we weren't told about Hvar was how 'snobby' it is. We arrived on a Thursday and were looking forward to browsing the restaurants to find somewhere nice to eat. Little did we know but almost everywhere we tried would be fully booked! Finally we found this restaurant and were pleased they had a lovely table available for us. The...
