We went with our group and had great time. The buffet was very good. Loved the desserts. When visiting Minas Gerais, you will want to try the local cuisine at its best. The food in Minas Gerais is great.

Very good restaurant. It's a buffet with all sorts of regional food (galinha caipira, frango ao molho pardo, feijoada, pão de queijo, feijão tropeiro, linguiça, canjiquinha, just to nem a few) with reasonable price. This was the first restaurant in Belo Horizonte to offer the real typical food of Minas Gerais. The two exisying restauants in Belo Horizonte are great. I once went to Dona Lucinha in Sao Paulo but it do not equal the ones in Belo Hoprizonte.

Food was just OK (warm and flat), worse than other "comida mineira" restaurants in Belo Horizonte or even in Sao Paulo. Service was nice, though. At about 40 USD per person, there are better options. Unfortunately, it seems that the glorious days that gained fame to this restaurant are gone. Not recommended.

Updating is necessary, as they offer great taste at the cost of a high collesterol. D.L. should try to produce tasty typical food with a healthier touch. This would become, then, heaven.

Ate there during their "Poetry Tuesdays." The food was very good and relatively cheap. The owner came by to tell us what Poetry Tuesdays was about. On this Tuesday, they were reciting Spanish poetry and performing some Spanish dancing. Had lots of deserts for people to try. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for "cozinha mineira."
