Staff was excellent, appetizers were good, entrees were not. Stay away from the Lamb special in a lemon sauce - it was downright awful. The Bashamel Pasta was good but for $18 I expect a little bit more. Sadly I will not return.

Lovely grilled fish, a nice dry white wine, attentive service and a beautiful outdoor table on a mild June evening. What's not to like?
We sat outside in the garden for a wonderful Greek dinner. I had the Greek sampler and everything was delicious. The wait staff were very attentive.
probably my most favorite restaurant in the DC metropolitan area. I always want to go there and it never fails to disappoint. It also features a lovely courtyard garden in the rear for dining.
We ate lunch here over the Memorial Day weekend with another couple and enjoyed it very much. Service was excellent, the food was very good and reasonably priced, there is a lovely garden patio in the back to dine in when the weather is nice, I would recommend this nice Greek restaurant to you!

The Taverna is just around the corner from the Morrison Hotel. They have a very nice outdoor patio for dining and the interior is also lively and inviting. Nice, friendly owners and staff.
I recently visited the Taverna C for two evening meals which were well received by both groups of diners. I try to eat at the Taverna if I am in Old Town Alexandria or in the Washington, DC area. I first ate there shortly after it opened in 1973 and have enjoyed it immensely through the years. It is simply...

With the nice weather upon us, a visit to the patio of Taverna Cretekou is a must do!!! I agree with the recommendations of other reviewers who suggest a late lunch. A visit in this "off time" will allow you to linger over some good Greek wine and food in the beautiful outdoor surroundings and avoid the rushed feeling I've...

Hope you like people because they're going to be all around you, and close enough to join the conversation, not necessarily a bad thing. My brother had the chicken, there is a lot of it, and he liked it. Now, other than some vacation time in Greece...
