I had the enjoyable opportunity to meet a client for lunch at The Roaring Fork while I was visiting Austin this week. It was an ideal place for such a meeting. While the restaurant was busy, it was quiet enough to allow for meaningful discussion. The atmosphere is very clean, modern, and professional. The food was quite good. I thoroughly... More

How nice to have this wonderful place right down the street form our hotel!!! The little old rock quarry turned into a pretty little lake to view from their wonderful patio. I will have to say this is the MOST incredible salad I've ever had in my life time!!! Let me try to recall --mixed exotic greens with spinach, grilled... More

Went for a sandwich / burger but prior to ordering asked server for most popular item on menu. He immediately suggests the most expensive being a Filet. We settled for 2 burgers ,however , it took forever to place order & even longer to get the food. The restaurant was not busy but our server was too busy texting to... More

The ambiance at this hidden North Austin restaurant is terrific - situated off of Quarry Lake with a great patio and cozy interior, it definitely has a great feel. I probably would have rated this restaurant a 2, but the ambiance warranted a bump up to a 3. The menu and food left much to be desired. I found the... More

My wife and I love this place. It is never overcrowded, service is fast and detailed. Food is superb. Atmosphere is neat, crisp and casual. We had two entrees, dessert and each of us had two drinks and with tip we were out 180 bucks. It was worth it. Try the pecan pie for dessert. It was exceptional. Try specialty... More

This eclectic upscale restaurant is amazing. The design offers so many options for a wonderful dining experience. There are quiet romantic spots outdoors on a deck that has fire pits and overlooks a beautiful lake. Indoors the atmosphere is lively and relaxing. The bartenders are attentive and drinks a good size. The food choices were great. Went with a party... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. It overlooks a small lake that used to be a lime stone quary. It is very pleasant sitting outdoors on the deck overlooking the lake. The food is always excellent. I personally have enjoyed and recommend the Tortilla soup, Fresh Guacamole, Iceberg BLT salad, Carnitas, Pork Tenderloin, and Steaks. The wine... More

This was my first visit here. The people I was with love this place and come often. It is very upscale, with comfortable booths & there is a nice patio overlooking a manmade lake. The food was delicious. I had the 1/2 chicken with stuffing and substituted mashed potatoes for seasonal vegetables. They are very good at letting you substitute... More

We enjoyed watching the sunset over the water and the fun atmosphere of this restaurant. I can not say enough about the corn side dish. It was like nothing i have ever tasted. Smokey and savory goodness!

I frequently dine at Roaring Fork on Stonelake because of the atmosphere, on the patio overlooking the quarry lake. The food is usually quite good, if a little expensive, but Easter evening a friend ordered the special; leg of lamb. That "lamb" was about three years old and he had a great deal of difficulty cutting it, even with the... More
