The restaurant is located in a shopping center and you would not expect to find such good food but it is a real treat. I was visiting from out of town and ate there twice and both experiences were great. The food is great. I felt like I was in New Orleans. Not too spicy, just right. And a pretty... More

The catfish gumbo and blackened red fish are amazing taste treats. The bistro style atmosphere is nicely done. The wait staff and service are top notch. Highly recommend reservations for Friday & Saturday nights.

Went to eat here for my 25th wedding anniversary. Had a fantastic dinner (blackened red fish Pontchartrain) and a great bottle of red wine. This place had great service a great food. Would highly recommend making reservations though as they fill up, especially on weekends. Richard

I went there during a business trip because of the good reviews I read about it. The experience was good overall, however I developed severe stomach pain as soon as I left there. It is 72 hours and counting, and I still have stomach pain and I need to see a doctor tomorrow. And, I do not have any allergies... More

I have been going to French Quarter Grille for several years when it was called Mama Roux. Service is always attentive, professional and Texas friendly. As for the cuisine, gumbo is a must try. Dark, thick, delicious with lots of ingredients. Crawfish beignets are simply scrumptious. Fried shrimps are big and nicely prepared. Cajun styled fish and seafood dish is... More

Very busy but food is excellent. We were staying overnight in Austin on way to San Antonio and tried it because of good reviews on both Trip Advisor and Yelp. In a strip mall by a Wal Mart but close to expressway. Worth venturing out of the 6th street district to try.Great seafood!

I work at UT and my student group wanted to have a Mardi Gras-Themed event with food to match so I looked up this place and sight unseen, took a chance. I was very impressed with a couple of things about this place: quaint and almost intimate dining area where the manager floats around just to say hello and the... More

Second time here. Gumbo has good dark roux, not burnt. I had the chicken and andouille gumbo. the trout was very good. NIce atmosphere and not to loud. For dessert, had the bread pudding, which I will try if it is on the menu. Not too sweet and not the bourbon sauce, chocolate instead. I favored it. The staff was... More

Excellent Service & food. Great Cajun favors & fresh ingredients. The fresh fish entries are best. The sauces are amazing. The “seafood” sauce selections are a great extra. Small & cozy. Call ahead is best.

Check out this new Round Rock restaurant! The shrimp are delicate and not overcooked and rubbery, the seafood gumbo is seasoned just right, the crawfish gumbo-yum, all reasonably priced and authentic without driving all the way to Louisiana. This new restaurant deserves a stop. Just delicious! I was not as crazy about their Oysters Rockefeller so I'd skip that offering.... More
