I live in Altoona and eat breakfast here about twice a month on the weekends. You can't miss with the cheese omlett! The atmosphere is busy and hectic. The servers are 1st rate. Yes, at times they may get a little short and the cook is yelling across the room when the orders are ready but that's part of the... More

Servers are abrasive because it is part of the fun!! Pay attention!! Its not Tiffanys!! Its a down town diner!!! Cmon people doesnt take a doctorate to figure out its part of the fun. Food us awesome!! Get a mess!! Then see a cardiologist!! Oh wait. He's sitting beside you because it's that great. Cmon folks, live a bit. Uptight... More

The food was good, but the service was very slow. Most likely because they had one person covering one huge room. She seemed very rushed and wasn't the most friendly person. Actually she was kind of abrasive. Like a previous reviewer stated, we made the comment that we felt like we were in a 70's sitcom. The food portions are... More

I heard the food was great. Why did I take so long to go visit? I always get breakfast when I go there, and its good all day long. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a busy hometown restaurant. Its a bustling place with the great smells of a good restaurant. Everything that can be fried on a grill... More

This is family run business. You must visit. The breakfasts are great and the atmosphere is "very homey" not at all like a big restaurant. Old jukeboxes at each booth AWESOME

This is a true Altoona experience!! The food is plentiful, and very good. Service is good, despite the fact they tend to be very busy all the time.

We had researched to see where to get the best breakfast in Altoona and started to go to this diner. It's family-owned. The people who cook and serve actually like working there. They are kind of interesting people who could easily become the main characters of a sitcom. I would watch it! I had a greek spinach omelet for less... More
