Other than that, its just okay. This restaurant is a Nobu wannabee. The food is elegant but not in Nobu's league--though the prices sure are. Service is haphazard. The space is small and cramped, even on the patio.

I've eaten here every time I've been to Ashland in the past few years, and the sushi is stellar . . . the beef tataki and the sashimi platter are not to be missed. Cocktails are amazing, and the sake list is one of the most extensive I've ever seen--and the bartender knows all of them well.
A bit pricey, but worth it! The food was incredible and well made. Fish was fresh and a great dining experience.
I only get rolls and sushi here. Sake selection is one of best in state. Yellowtail carpaccio is amazing. Hit up the Namazake selections on the sake list, full of flavor. Sushi bar and bar seating options for walk ins.
Good service with quiet relaxed atmosphere. Sushi was fresh and tasty. A little spendy but worth it. Nice place for romantic dinner.
Enjoyed a good meal here with my wife. We had the tiger shrimp appetizer and it was so good! Followed that with the chicken katsu, and sushi. Very tasty give it a try! Oh and they have "cheaters" if you are not good with chop sticks (forks).
My boyfriend and I stayed in Ashland for our anniversary. We both love sushi and so chose to have dinner at Kobe's! Hands down the best experience ever! The food was absolutely amazing, I had the pan seared salmon and it was perfect. He had the short ribs and said they were really great! Our server, Nicole was wonderful! She...

Excellent food though I miss the rock shrimp! Nice atmosphere, especially in summer outside by the creek.

The Red Dragon Roll (red crab) was fantastic, the scallop sushi and red tail sashimi were excellent. The rest was good. We paid $15 corkage and the total bill with...
