Description: MEET BELLA.. In Italian and Spanish, 'Bella' means beautiful...and she is! She's the elegant restaurant on Gaya Street, standing on the corner where the Jesselton Hotel is. But she's not just beautiful outside, she is inside too...You thought Bella was Italian, right? All pizza and pasta? Wrong. BELLA IS WORLDLY. She dropped 'Italia' a few years ago, and expanded her horizons. Dine at Bella and experience five different cuisines: Mediterranean, Latin, Middle Eastern, Indian and, of course, her local specialities by traditional cooks who have stayed with her all through the decades. Bella changes her menu every three months, to keep things fresh and exciting. BELLA IS LOCAL. Only around 10-12% of the food used is imported. The rest is sourced locally, creating personal relationships with local producers. Bella places an order for vegetables with farmers from the Ranau/Kundasang area; the vegetables are picked overnight and brought in at 9.30am the next morning.BELLA IS HEALTHY. She has a new range of healthy beverages, using all local fruits and with no sugar added. Bella doesn't fry the fish for her 'Fish & Chips', it's grilled - healthier and with more flavour. She knows what people in town like to eat, but she does it in a healthier way. No wonder she's beautiful ;)So now you know Bella. Why not make a date and let your taste buds fall in love?

We had our first evening meal here, on advice from our guide. His advice could not be questionned. From the Bruschetta we had for entree to my wife's pizza main course and my Lamb shank main and panacotta sweet could not be faulted. This was topped off with cafe lattee all for about 90 ringgit. Highly recommended

We stayed in Kota Kinabalu for a week and it was hard to keep us away from this place for breakfast and dinner. Pizzas in Bella were great! Very tasty and large. We ordered two pizzas and noticed that was one too much :) Selfmade sangria was tasty. Second evening I ate steak and my wife took a salad. They were excellent too. House redvine was very YES and Bloody Mary's excellent.

We only visited for breakfast and the only vegetarian option was the mushroom omelette but it was tasty and set us up for the day and the coffee is great? Good value and centrally located - but can only remark on breakfast!

Very disappointing . I ordered a lunch only to find hairs in my salad. When I bought this to the attention of the waiter they were surprised to learn that I did not want the other dish they saved with my salad. There was no apology or attempt to redeem the situation ! Do not eat here !

It is a cosy nice restaurant. Serves good pasta and pizza. We went there before 7pm and had fifty percent off. Good service too.

pasta, pizza were discounted by 50% between 5-7pm. normal pasta about rm26, pizza about rm 30. sangria drink was interesting at rm 12

We struggled to find somewhere to eat near our restaurant so went here. I ordered the ravioli for 30MYR and got 8 tiny pieces. A 'jug' of sangria included 4 small glasses for 45. Would not recommend

Due to some recommendations we've went there for dinner. Food was ok, but service really strange - grumpy, confused, all food (Appetizer & main course) has been served together. Also very tiny restaurant, nothing special.
