“Karakuri is fun and delicious”

Family run restaurant serving traditional Takayama food in a relaxed atmosphere. Locals and visitors. Love the hiba-miso. Beware the Japanese tables for those who can't sit on the floor for a prolonged time.

“lots of little dishes, everything delicious”

We stumbled on this restaurant near our hotel. The people running it were very friendly and made an excellent meal. There were 6 or so plates on the english menu ranging from 1600 yen to 2800 yen.
