In comparison to the price, the food was really poor. May be too much tourist-style and not Thai-style. I would say tasteless. Also the service, I had a curry with shrimp and squid....I ordered wihout squid, what I go was only with squd and without shrimp. It was incredibly loud in the restaurant because of a musician, youl chartsongs.....horrible! So... More

Not too sure how this gets such high reviews... I suspect it is living off the good location and being in the Lonely Planet for many years. Service was very poor... I might even say rude, something I find amazing in Thailand where people are generally so kind and friendly. Food and drinks were ok but overpriced... maybe the LP... More

The place looks nice, very roomy and a guitarist playing live music. They have a open-air grill outside and offer things like steak and chops. I had the steak which was fine, but quite pricey for Chiang Rai. They seem to do a lot of tour groups and a few busloads of noisy tourists showed up while we were eating,... More

Find just across the street from night bazaar. Plenty of seating Smiling staff - quickly served We had Pad Thai which was served wrapped in an 'omlette' - quite nice. Sweet & sour fish with fried rice with chicken - my huband enjoyed this. Large portions - nicely set on plates. The grill items were a bit pricey for Thailand... More

This is a lovely restaurant right in the centre of Chiang Rai. The food is delicious and the portions are quite large. I ate at Ayes by chance on my first night in town but returned there every night of my visit. I can't wait to go back.

During a roundtrip through Thailand we stayed 4 days at Chiang Rai in the North. Our hotel suggested to combine a visit to the night market (what a disappointment) with dinner at "Aye's". "Aye's" looks like a typical basic Thai street restaurant, but offers both traditional Thai food and totally unexpected European classics. Moreover, you can find at least 10... More

Vegetables were over cooked and mushy. We had to wait over half an hour for our food and we thought it was overpriced compared with others on the main drag. Similar experience at DaVinci's which is apparently owned by the same people.

Our family of five didn't enjoy our meal here. The food seemed stale and of low quality. The vegetables in particular were very dried out. Not one of us was pleased with what we ordered, and in fact, we all felt a bit sick afterwards. I'm surprised that this restaurant has been highly rated. After our experience, we would never... More

The food was ok, quite expensive for the area but we were in a hurry and wanted a bite to eat quickly. There were only 3 other tables seated and it was before the busy dinner rush so we thought we would be out in 20 mins but we waited about 50 mins in total before we cancelled the last... More

The food is very good quality and tastes great. The restaurant is full of atmosphere and is really pleasant to be in. It is a little more expensive than you might expect in the area, but i is worth it
