Went to Puaa by chance having had a beer in the bar opposite after wandering around the flea market. Sat outside without the need for heaters although they were available. Cool shabby chic decor - carpets outside, table cloths, mix and match chairs. Friendly service - waiters bobbed down to table level to take your order and explain menu items.... More

what's special about this place is that it's right in the middle of the Jaffa flea market. accordingly, all the furniture is second (or third or fourth...) hand and that's of course part of the charm but for me it's a bit too shabby and dusty. the food is nice, home style cooking, lots of options even for vegetarians and... Discovered Puaa last June after wandering around Jaffa looking for a good Israeli breakfast. We came to the right place! They serve breakfast all day and have a selection of six themed choices; Kibbutz, Balkan, Yemenite, Sabikh, Seaside and of course Shakshuka. We came here 4 or 5 times in just one short week, mostly for breakfast which leaves you... More

I come to Israel a lot and every time I return to Puaa. Everything is perfect, the location in the heart of the Jaffa flea market, the decoration - it is filled with flea market finds and mismatched chairs, tables and crockery - and most importantly the food. The food at Puaa is what chefs all over the world are... More

warm environment, the staff is nice and welcoming and the food is delicious... all natural without any artificial tastes and chemicals. israeli home cooking with an high style twist. the restaurant is the first to open in the flea market (14 years ago), and its considered to be the main influence for all the others. everything in the restaurant is... We ate at Puaa (a girl's name common in Poland) with friends a week ago while strolling through the Jaffa flea market. It is almost always crowded both inside and out. You will want to be outside, however, to capture the feel of the bustling market and the myriad passersby from well dressed businessmen and women to 1960 hippie types... More
