One for the road is the only truly foreign run pub in Dongguan (that I know of). There are other pubs that have a foreign spouse or a foreign partner who helps out, but this is a truly foreign owned enterprise and it shows. One for the Road has a great atmosphere with tasty food. Be prepared to wait a while for your order- service is typically very slow. Menu is a bit on the pricey side. I would recommend One for the Road to anyone who wants a break from Chinese food.

Sometimes too much of one thing cannot be good. Always frequented here which eventually lead to not wanting to come back. The food is really good. Big portions but really tasty and enjoyable. Good happy hour prices.

I like the friendly atmosphere. The food is very good. Service and prices are reasonable. Comfortable place to hangout with other ex-pats or American visitors.
