I enjoyed the atmosphere and the jazz music playing in the background. The food was good but not great. It seemed like most entrees were floating in some kind of sauce. My halibut dish was a little salty for my tastes. The service was excellent and the wait staff helpful and engaging.

Not sure why the high ranks for this place. Service was mediocre and slow (and included a public reprimand by management of our waitress...so apparently we were not alone.) Food was...odd...strange combinations that just did not come together. Clearly, an attempt to have some Vietnamese influence...but misses the mark (and my spouse is Vietnamese...so have some good standard of measure).... More

I'll admit I'm always a little intimated by unquiet menus and Vinology was no exception. With the help of the waiter I ended up opting for a trout entree. It was simply the best meal I have ever eaten. While the menu is constantly changing I can not wait to go back and try something new. It is the restaurant... More

We made a reservation at Vinology for last Saturday, May 4th, not realizing it was graduation day for U of M. We got to the restaurant early (6:30 PM), knowing we would have to sit at the bar. We sat at the bar, and were promptly greeted and offered menus. The wine list is extensive, and they offer several wine... More

Vinology does small plates as well as full size portions. The menu is unique and delicious. The restaurant had a good vibe, good food and great service. It is conveniently located on Main St. I would go back for sure!

This restaurant may not look like much from the street but the inside atmosphere is quite charming. And the food is out of this world. Upscale preparations, delicious taste, yummy desserts at mid range prices. And of course, great wine.

Stopped in for our first visit, will not be our last. There last Friday evening, unfortunately missed happy hour (1/2 off!). Had appetizer plates of olives and pickeled vegetables for $8, good stuff, great deal. Cheese appetizer plate had some good cheeses, but also a selection of carbs, not complaining, but not all cheese either. They serve 1/2 plates which... More

A friend and I recently dined at Vinology and had a great experience. It was a Friday night and our taxi was an hour late, yet the restaurant still honoured our reservation (we did call them to update them on what was happening with the taxi). The place was packed but we still got to our table quickly and I... More

My fiance and I love Vinology. Vinology has a great selection of well prepared and thoughtul food, really good wines to enjoy. The wines are exceptional. The atmosphere is outstanding, except for one HUGE thing. Why ruin it with big screen TVs that play sports all the time? Why be like every other bar/restaurant in town? Vinology is about enjoying... I had an extremely good and generously portioned Thai shrimp salad at Vinology and enjoyed their half-priced wines for lunch. My husband had some tasty shrimp and grits. Lunch here is a great deal. The restaurant was about half full (on a Friday before spring break) and the service was pretty typical for a university town. The vibe is a... More
