Description: The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.

We were on a mission to eat crab cakes from Baltimore to Norfolk, and tried the Boatyard on the recommendation of a friend. Since we were on our way to another restaurant, we ordered a crab cake sandwich and split it as an appetizer. We liked it so much that the next day we went back and tried them again... More

Admittedly it's Fathers Day, and I was solo and sat at the bar for breakfast. Bartender, though pleasant was overextended trying to fill endless Bloody Mary orders for waitstaff while serving a dozen or so at the bar. First hint to me was the tough time getting cream for coffee. Have up and drank second cup black. My order: eggs... More

We frequently have Sunday brunch here. The food is delicious and the service is always friendly. Lots of locals come here too which adds to the great atmosphere. It's a close walk to the water so lots to do when you're done with your meal. What a great way to start the day!

Located a bit out of the usual tourist paths, this appears unassuming on the outside, but is quite interesting on the inside. Sailing is the theme as you might imagine in Annapolis. Crab cakes are very good; most of the food more suitable for lunch or a light dinner. If you go after dark, they light up one of their... More

We have eaten here several times and whether for lunch or dinner, the food and service have been great. Wide menu but fish, oysters etc. are the main items. Get's a little noisy when full but a great value for the money.

Stopped in to this packed bar and grill on a beautiful Saturday afternoon with friends and I am so glad we did!! I have never been to Annapolis before, but I have to say it is a lovely little harbor town and this restaurant is the place to go. My husband had the oysters to start and I had a... More

Had a ton of fun here! Food was fantastic, Maryland crab soup was delicious and then my fiance and I shared the steamer pot, perfect amount of food and our server was super nice. Dark and Stormy was the drink of choice which completely went along with the weather.. ugh. But great time and great place.

If you visit Annapolis, I strongly suggest you take a short walk off Main Street to find the Boatyard Bar and Grill. Their food choices are varied and excellent. Dallas, our waiter, did an excellent jib of taking care of us. Although Main Street eateries are fine, there are many excellent restaurants slightly off the tourist beat, all within walking... More

Whoa! I wrote a generally positive review of this restaurant in 2009. My husband and I came here several times around that time. Came here for lunch several times, too. Then, for no particular reason we stopped going. Last night I thought it would be fun to go back. The atmosphere was still boaty casual with rowdy good will, and... More
