First meal in Panama City was at Machu Picchu. The atmosphere is more outdated than some restaurants in the city but has a more local, laid back feel. We went around 9pm and there was a live band. The waiter was patient with our party as we looked over the menu (a lot of options). Menu has good array of... More

As a peruvian living in Panama for almos three years, Machu Picchu was one of our frequent restaurants. This month we went back for our son school graduation and invited his preferred teachers for a farewell lunch. We started with a generous pisco sour which put everybody in good spirit, for first course I choose "choros a la chalaca" which... More

Make sure you ask for the English menu and it's a thick one. This is a seafood restaurant that the locals likes to frequent. There is a small group of band that played sort of new age music that's quite nice. The food was fresh, taste (a bit on the salty side), and the service was attentive.

We tried two different fish platter selections to be shared by two. Octopus, corvina, shrimp, oyster, mussels, yucca, squid were some of the seafood on the platters. And of course, a Pisco Sour. Delicious. We had good service and when we were being outrageously overcharged for a taxi ride, they called someone else to take us to our hotel for an appropriate fee. What a great... More

The food was delicious. They had a good selection and everything was great. Service was a little slower than I am used to, but that seems to be the norm in Panama.

The place is not fancy, but the food is unbelievable. The Parihuela (Seafood soup) is out of this world. The lobster is amazing, seafood platter is amazing. I've been to this place over 10 times. If you like seafood is the place to be in Panama. PS: I had an experience that wasnt nice with a plate of mariscos salteados... More

We enjoy this restaurant every time we visit it. There is a very wide menu and the seafood is always excellent. Make sure to try to mashed potatoes, they actually import the potatoes in from Peru, and they are the best in the city. The service is good and it is a comfortable place to hang out.

This is the first time I've ever given 1 star on TripAdvisor. We went with high hopes left with food poisoning. We went here last month after reading good reviews and I've got to say I eat out a lot in Lobdon I know good food and service so take that into account with this review. We sat down ordered... More

I had dinner at Machu Picchu this past week after several people had recommended it. It was by far THE BEST meal I had in Panama City. The ambiance was very warm and welcoming and the seafood was outstanding. Furthermore, the prices were reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to any traveler staying in the area.
