This is a first rate restaurant. I have been on several occasions and it never fails to impress me. The service is warm and professional. The staff are obviously very well trained as they are attentive and full of information and great advice about the menu. Often I am greeted and seated by a delightful and charming English woman who... More

I went here as part of a group of corporate diners. Everyone in the party enthused about their food, including the immaculate deserts (summer pudding for some churros for others) I had the chicken curry; mild but nicely put together with all the signs of a good kitchen. It does get busy at lunch - very busy - but this... More

I went there for a small meal and a drink. Good beers but only wine by the glass that costs as much as a bottle. At 19:30 I asked about the Tapas del dia and the only food they had left was papas fritas

Coffee in the mornings, muesli, cakes and bread with palta. A dream of quality. Lunch has a very good menu, not cheap, with a great quality in ingredients and a lot of imagination. excellent soups, good quinoa, magnificent meat (lamb, beef) and well, before or after a good walk around downtown santiago is worth the trip.

We enjoyed our business lunch menus -- very good food, served with a glass of Sauvignon blanc. The service was correct and efficient.

this is indeed a perfect place for lunch, especially when you can sit outside. It is located in an area with government buildings, so it van be very busy; reservations are required. We were lucky to get the last fee table on the quiet terace. The food is very good, staff is friendly and adequate and you pay a fair... More

I am a Gringo living in Santiago for the past 4 years now. Unfortunately, it took until today to find this place. I went with 2 other Gringos that also live here and we ordered 1 appetizer (fried corvina tacos) 3 plates (the lamb, entraña, and fish), and 2 deserts (chocolate nemisis and a red fruit "jello" i cant remember... We happened upon this place by accident. We were on our way to Palacio de la Moneda and were looking for a coffee shop for a good latte or cappuccino. This place was the answer to our dream as every where else on the way served Nescafe. We had egg white scramble eggs, crepes and yes, delicious coffee. We went... More

My husband and I were in Santiago early December 2012. Blue Jar was recommended in travel books but it exceeded everything we expected from the write ups. It was the most beautiful food we'd had on our trip. From the moment we walked in to when we left, service was impeccable. The place is gorgeous and very tastefully decorated. The... More
