Description: ChômChôm is a modern pho bar and private kitchen in the heart of Central, Hong Kong. Named after the Vietnamese wordk for rambutan (a spiky, red tropical fruit), it offers an inventive twist on pho and other classic Vietnamese dishes. The space is built around an intimate, open kitchen where guests can watch their food being plated and enjoy a delicious bowl of pho. We strive to provide the best pho in Hong Kong using the finest local and imported ingredients.

I have become an addict to Vietnamese cuisine since my return from Ho Chi Minh in early January this year and have been pursuing the taste of pho I had at the streets of HCM. Came this for lunch. It has sets of 2 or 3 courses with different choices, all under HK$100. I tried the beef pho (the only... More

I love noodles, all sorts of noodles, always have, always will. When I first saw Kung Fu Panda, and master Shifu starts talking to Po about the "noodle dream", I could totally relate!! Chef/Owner Peter Cuong Franklin knows his Pho, I say it with an inner intrinsic need for noodles done right. Peter's noodles go beyond the pedestrian taste profile... More

Since its opening over a year ago, I have been a regular and become acquainted with Chef Peter. His passion for food, and foremost his enthusiasm to share his ideas, always make for interesting culinary knowledge. While I might not longer be unbiased, this is the best authentic vietnamese food in HK (and I tried a lot of the mainstream... More

Hong Kong has seen an increasing interest in Vietnamese food over the past year but Chom Chom is without a doubt the best. Head Chef Peter Franklin supervises all dishes and has by far the most dazzling resume of his peers (stints at Michelin stars Caprice in HK and Alinea in USA) which is followed up by genuine passion. His... More

Everytime I am in the area I would go to eat Phô made by Peter and his team. It is quite easy to find in the busy HK center and believe me you will find a gem. You will find dish upon your tast. I prefer Pho to be light and balanced, while my hubby likes "real man" food. We... More

This is one of my favourite restaurants, and its become a weekly fix. The flavours of the food is absolutely amazing and hits the spot every single time. Not to forget the service is always top-notch and I look forward to my visits here. My favourite dish is the bun noodle salad with tofu, the ingredients are super fresh and... More

Best Vietnamese food in Hong Kong. Wonderful flavours. The addition of citrus to the fish sauce based dipping sauce adds a wonderful layer of freshness to starters like the excellent vegetarian rice paper roll with crispy tofu. Love the mains! The bahn mi are wonderful with the home made pate that is spiked with fish sauce, and the chilli mayonnaise.... More

I've been a regular at ChomChom since it opened, and I've always been impressed by the clarity and balance of flavours. The Pho broths for the both the chicken and beef have the intense taste of the animal, be it beef or chicken. Personal touches that chef Peter brings to classic Vietnamese tastes like the addition of chilli aoili to... More

Whenever I travel abroad, I always make it a point to try Vietnamese food. Most of my travelling is to Asia - China in specific. In previous times travelling to HK, I've tried Pho and various other dishes from Vietnamese restaurants around the TST area and in Central (near mid-levels). Restaurants, food court Vnmese - you name it. Every single... More

I was in town for just a few days with some classmates, and was in charge of finding interesting places to eat every night. Chom Chom was a highlight of the trip. Very warm service, amazing food, lovely atmosphere. Everyone gushed over the evening. Reservations were needed in advance, so make sure to get them early. Bottom line, when the... More
