The food was really good. We had a few sides and 2 roasted ducks for a party of 8. They carve the duck table side. My only wish is that we got more of the duck meat. There was a lot of meat left on the duck when they took the duck away, a bit wasteful. But what we did... More

The atmosphere in this restaurant is really great. The "Super Lean Duck" is their signature dish and was really excellent. Service was "ok". We order 3 Veggies and Rice... Broccoli was served almost immediately, once we had finished that, the Asparagus was served... after a while the Dragon Beans were served, then the Duck and Rice.. so don't expect to... More

We ate at Dadong close to Wangfujing Avenue on the 4th floor at Jinbao Place, an up-market shopping mall. The restaurant is modern, very clean and plush. There is a large pond with golden carp and the kitchen with wood-fired ovens is in the middle of the restaurant. You can watch the ducks being cooked and carved. We had a... More

A fancy restaurant near the Wangfujing area. You go there for the duck and it is excellent. One roast duck will easily feed two people (about $40) for one duck. They carve the duck in front of you to add to the experience and provide all the necessary sides for a great meal.

I suggest getting a reservation but the short wait at the bar was a great place to unwind. Do not be afraid of dipping the duck right into the sugar provided. This was the best meal of our whole trip.

We were two, ate the standard half duck, ordered a Bombay Gin Tonic and a Martini cocktail, paid 250 RMB. The duck was masterly cut on a side table by a cook after which the waiter gave a useful explanation in English on how to eat the dish. Also, it's a big restaurant, we went on a Thursday around 21h... More

We booked at table on our way back to the hotel. Thought this would be wise as it is a very popular restaurant. However when we arrived they did not have a table for us and said it would be over 30 min wait, the staff were also exceptionally unhelpful. We left and unfortunately did not try the food, but... Went there on 27 April 3pm. We waited for 1.5 hours before the duck was served. The waiter did not let us know how long we have to wait until we ask. (the restaurant wasn't even half full, I was wondering what took them so long to prepare the duck). Duck was really nice especially the skin. Everything else was... More

I love their peking duck !! especially their crispy duck skin. the sugar really enhance the taste of the duck skin. The staff was very polite, they helped us wrapped the duck and taught us how to do.I also tried the foie gras and it was also great. Price wise is OK for this kind of find dining. Make sure... More

We've eaten at 2 other branches of Da Dong, but had always wanted to try this one. The food was borderline OK - but 2 or 3 of the dishes ordered were unavailable, and while the substitutes were OK, they weren't what we really wanted. But the dreadful service made this an overpriced and disappointing experience. Repeated attempts to flag... More
