Off the beaten path (or so it seemed to me). The hotel car service dropped us in front which had nice outdoor seating. Once inside, reminded me of a japanese restaurant in the U.S. The menu was large, and significant options to chose from. Service was a bit slow, but then again the restaurant was absolutely full with persons waiting... More

Very nice atmosphere, clean, friendly place. Food was good. Sushi was not the most amazing I've had but it was good. Service was fast. Sake was not great, it was a bit sour. But overall a very nice atmosphere, good food and a place I would go back to! More

This restuarant does have good food, but if you have been to Japan, it's more Asia fusion ... sort of. More

Furusato has by far the worst food I've had in Nairobi. I ordered a boxed dinner and was at first shocked by the small portion sizes and then grateful because everything tasted so awful I couldn't finish one thing on my plate. It's also exceedingly overpriced for what is offered and especially when considering the quality of their flavors. The... More

It might be surpricing but there is a good selection of Japanece restaurants in Nairobi so beiing in top three is a good compliment. Thsi used to be the king but currently we prefer the Onami. Teh food is always good and the service not to bad. They keep standard and are reliable. The facilities are getting a bit worn... More

seafood, sashimi and suchi are great. The service is a tad slow but the quality of food compensate it. And prices are reasonable. More

Based on a couple of recommendations, 3 of us (all Japanese food afficionados) went there and tried Sushi and Sashimi. To make it short, the food was a major disappointment. Service was nice and attentative, the atmosphere was a little chilly. So the whole evening couldn't meet our expectations. There are so many nice and good restaurants in this town,... More

The bento box is huge (at least for me). Loved the food and seems to be good value for money. Try the teppanyaki as well... dinner and show :) however, the chef didnt display too much skill with utensil/knife juggling antics. Regardless, the food is good and again a lot. We had trouble finishing the courses. There's food that the... More
