Good food in a lovely setting but let down by patchy service.... don't visit in a group as they won't get your food to you together - Great if it is just the two of you. More

The best hamburger we ever had. Juiicy and luxurious. But decor and infrastructure kind of dilapidated. More

located in Karen, the neighborhood where most white Kenyans live, Talisman offers the odd experience of being in a colonial style ambiance of English food with an African taste served under the shade of a tree in a beautiful garden; most patrons are descendants of the English colonial people who stayed on after independence More

Talsiman was recommended by several friends who know Nairobi well. The menu is not large but there is variety. Service is excellent and the grounds make for a pleasant stay. More

Let me just say at the outset that if you are visiting Nairobi on safari, your trip is not complete without a dinner at Talisman (or two, or three!). I am there at least four days a week (no lie). Why? Because the food is excellent, the service always good, and I always leave looking forward to my next meal!... More

The Talisman is such a favorite with our family (there's even a playground for the kids on the expansive lawn) that we are there on a weekly basis. My husband makes almost daily use of the free wifi, so we've christened The Talisman "Matt's Office." ;-) Chef Marcus is a true foodie, taking delight in putting together a menu that... More

We love the Talisman, particularly as it is five minutes from our home! Book as this is one of the most popular restaurants in Nairobi, note that they are closed on Mondays! I cannot write about the Talisman without mentioning the feta and coriander samoosas which are second to none; I know of some visitors who order them as a... More

The Talisman restaurant was recently bought from the previous owners, who ran a superb business. We feared it would not be the same, but it is even better! The food is superb made from fresh fine ingredients. The atmosphere is African, Arabia, upcountry safari with a coastal edge. It has warm open fires at night and by day is open,... More
