My former colleague told me there were at least 16 types of dhal - when I eat at Nazim, I always get the dhal, and tend to indulge. Not bad.
We loooved Nazim Restaurant in Pakse. The Vientiane branch didn't appeal to us however. The restaurant itself is nice enough, the menu about the same and the food actually pretty good. Prices are higher than in Pakse, but so are rents in Vientiane, so that's OK. What is not OK however is the incompetent staff. Rude, clumsy and unprofessional, completely... More
We have eaten here a few times now and hoping that would improve customer service and food, they havent. The food is a bit bland, long time to get your meal, the best thing was the mint sauce. Forget the lamb dishes, nowhere did it taste like lamb.
I cannot believe how rude the staff were at Nazim Indian Family Restaurant. The door sign said Family so we thought this should be nice. Well no it wasn't. We waited for ages to just get a menu and when I had to wave for attention, the waiteress did not even say hello she said "yes?" I was horrified to... More
Nazim in both Vientiane and Vangvieng are good choices if you are craving indian food in Laos. Clean and good sized portions you will be satisfied with your meal. If you like more spice than the average European, asked for more, as they season the food for European tastes. They do offer some lovely roti deserts and a few dishes... More
I guess it's difficult having recently visited India and eating excellent, genuine Indian cuisine so the food here was more than disappointing. The veggie curries were ok but the near curries and samosas were terrible. The samosas were tasteless and greasy. The two chicken curries were just ready cooked shredded chicken dumped in tasteless sauce. The jalfrezi was awful, think... More
First of all, Nazim restaurant is listed on Trip Advisor as being located in Fa-nagoum Road, it is not, it is in Chao Anou road. The restaurant offers a wide menu of Indian/Halal food at reasonable prices. Seating is available inside (air-conditioning) and outside, under cover. The atmosphere inside is a little 'Canteen' with the lighting far too bright for... More
We used to eat here when we were in Vientiane. It was our stop for lunch and dinner. Tasty, scrumptious Indian food which reminded us of home. The vegetarian options were plenty.
The service is nothing special nor are the tables and overall settings .. I can't eat indian food often as its a little hard on the stomach. Once a week this place really hits the spot. The flavour is awesome i've probably ate indian food in every country but india and this is my favorite so far...
Friendly place. Seating inside and out. On my second visit they remembered me/my choice of soft drink (apple juice no ice Madam?). Lots of familiar dishes from Indian eateries in Australia. Cost: main course veg dish with rice or pappadum plus apple juice - about $Au4.
