My hotel receptionist recommend this restaurant to me and she was right. This is the western resto that i ve been looking for..Cheap, tasty,Friendly staff...So what else do you need ? Plus, very central!

We stumbled into Gecko for lunch on our first day in Hanoi. It was 42 degrees outside and unbearably humid. We ate a delicious meal and washed it down with cool beers. We didn't want to leave. We returned a few more times as the food is good value, the staff friendly and service good.

Gecko was recommended to us by some people we met at the train station, good choice. It is a no frills eatery, but the staff are friendly and speak good English, the local Vietnamese food is tasty and the prices great, all in all great value.

Good variety of food, staff spoke good english so it was easy to order food. Recommended place to eat for western and vietnamese food

We wanted to eat a baguette and after a long search through the Old Quarter we found this little place. We ate the Chicken and ham salad toasted baguettes..yummo. Clean place, with reasonable prices for the quality of tasty baguettes you get. There was lots of Vietnamese food but we wanted a Chilli-free meal for a change.

Ate at many different Gecko restaurants in Hanoi and the food was always good and reasonably priced. The range of food is also huge so there is something for everyone.
