I half expected it to be just a tourist trap, but I have now been once for lunch and once for dinner and both times was very satisfied. The cocktails are fantastic and the small menu is by no means overpriced.

Bit of a tourist trap, so be warned. However, if you are up for a bit of fun, its definitely worth the visit. Food, although not exceptional, is tasty and portions are huge and well-priced. Service is adequate.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The service, ambiance, and cuisine was perfect. Make a reservation and keep in mind the piano player starts at 9PM. I was very pleased with the salmon appetizer and the lamb couscous. If you pay by check, you make it out to "The Usual Suspects". Yes, the whole thing is a put-on, but it's done with... More

I traveled throughout Morocco with my parents who are a bit older - their favorite movie is "Casablanca" and after reading the stellar reviews, in places like Lonely Planet and elsewhere online, we decided to come here for a night cap. It was terrible. The staff wasn't just harried, they were rude and arrogant - like the bouncers at a... More

The only thing of interest here is the name of the restaurant. The building is run-of-the-mill furnished with a few pieces suggestive of the movie. The food is about as ordinary as you could imagine: bland, luke-warm, undistinguished. The service is more 'frantic' than 'attentive.' How this place ever got on the 'must visit' list of commercial tours is a... More

I experienced my first dinner out in Morocco at Rick's Cafe in Casablanca - a wonderful transition to a different culture and country. Love the art deco features and decor (and throughout the entire city) and the reference to the film. The food was good as well as the service. The atmosphere was friendly and nostalgic as the piano played... More

I could not have asked for better food, but the service was s-l-o-w. We were a group of 15 that had preordered, but it still took awhile. I walked around and at least the entire first floor was dedicated to large tour groups. Not sure if non-groups were on the ground floor, but the place was packed. Lovely atmosphere with... More

I travel to Casablanca several times a year and Rick's Café is always on the list of places I visit. It is my favorite "romantic" restaurant of all places I have traveled to, including those in the US. The atmosphere (in the evening) includes listening to exquisite piano tunes from the movie "Casablanca" and you feel as if "Bogie" could... More
