This is a nice tavern that serves a limited menu. The food is good, but not great. Prices are a bit high.
We came here on a Wednesday night around 9:30 pm for dinner. We came from Pismo Beach where apparently everything closes between 8:30-9:00 pm. Based on other reviews, we were apprehensive about dining here, but since it was open and we were starving, we decided to stop in. I'm glad we did stop in because we were pleasantly surprised by... Once for lunch, once for dinner. Same conclusion. Food average at best. TriTip sandwich doesn't hold a candle to the one at McClintock's down the street. Fries had a nice presentation but were limpy; coleslaw room temperature. Lots of pluses: friendly bar, nice wait staff, indoor and outdoor dining, and charming street in Old Village of Arroyo Grande.
I liked this place, however was a little disappointed. We went there with a huge group of us and they did have a back room that they opened up for us. It took a long time to be served for each step of the meal. The food was good and the atmosphere was exactly what you want out of a... More
It's ok, not great. We like having a drink on the patio. The food is average. The problem with inside is that it is sooo loud, everywhere you turn there is a big screen TV in your face. Very obnoxious. Guess that's ok if you are looking for a sports bar, but not for anything else. There are not too... More
I live down the street from this place and have given them way too many opportunities to be great. The setup of the restaurant is too confusing for people walking in. I have waited for 15 min for a table with plenty of open tables and watched people walk in and seat themselves when there is no one to man... More
The Rooster Creek Tavern is located on the main street of the small town of Arroyo Grande, CA, and is, in my estimation, the best place to eat in a town with several choices. There is indoor and outdoor dining. The interior has televisions mounted in strategic places around the main room giving the restaurant a pleasant, up-tempo, sport-bar feel... More
This is a wonderful little restaurant. The menu is creative but there are enough choices for everyone to be satisfied. They have a wood oven for baked items and pizza. Wings are big and meaty. Try the Saigon Sizzle sauce for something different. Full bar with local beers. Several TVs to watch games. Nice outdoor patio for al fresco dining.... More
This is a beautiful, new full-service restaurant and bar located in the quaint village of Arroyo Grande. They have an extensive menu encompassing everything from creative appetizers, to crisp salads, to monster sandwiches, to full dinner entres...oh, and then there's the pizzas! Great, hand-tossed crust cooked in a wood fired oven with very original toppings (or you can create your... More
