My bf and I yelped this place and we were going to be in the area. We saw the line formed outside and we almost left if it wasn't for an angel that I asked in the parking lot if it was worth the wait. Her answer was, YES!!! She also told us the bacon was delicious. She was not... More

Try going on a Saturday morning when they open, and see all the motorcycle riders there. Bikers KNOW good food! Their selection is very good, the ambiance is friendly and comfortable, never pretentious.I never fail to leave stuffed.

This place is such a treat! Our trip isn't complete in OC without stopping at the Original Pancake House. The service is friendly and attentive. Parking is not the greatest and the restaurant is tiny but the hassle is worth it. The Apple Pancake is a must have!

The food was excellent, no doubt about it. Great pancakes, hash to die for. My only complaint is that the coffee comes in teeny little cups, not mugs, and the waitresses are extremely busy so you wait quite a while for a refill. The staff is very friendly, but the seating and parking are limited so you will definitely wait... More

Most delicious and wide variety of pancakes, waffles, crepes from around the world!!! DELICIOUS!! All of if!! Very very busy.... Can't escape the wait so plan for it. If you will wait for the junk at Disneyland.... there is no comparison!! There is a playground walking distance that some of your party can play at... Leave someone to claim your... More

Their strawberry topped waffles are positively sinful! The staff are delightful & truly want to make sure that you're completely satisfied. Quaint locale with great ambiance. Great place for breakfast!! Will be back again.

The caps were necessary because the bacon pancakes should be censored. A friend drove me quite a ways to get to this restaurant. The pancakes were sooo good, but I must say whatever they do to the maple syrup is amazing and might actually be the secret. I'm a pancake connoisseur and must say that I've never had pancakes this... More

Eclectic, Crowded, and looks like a mansion for pancakes, there is quite simply nothing better than the 49er Flapjacks.. I do mine with peanut butter and syrup, wife does them with powdered sugar and lemon.. Thin, delicate almost like a crepe, I have been eating these at all the OPH for the last 15 years.. Absolutely one of the most... More

My wife and I were staying in LA for our daughters sweet sixteen trip to Disneyland and discovered the pancake house one Sunday morning and what a find it was! The overall first impression was just ok due to the 70s decor and limited parking but after being seated the decor added to the experience. As we were looking over... More

If you’re the kind of person who likes to go to places that have “original” in their name, thinking that this is the first one of it’s kind, you will be disappointed to know that there are many “Original” Pancake House locations all over the United States, and the original, original one is in Portland. On the other hand, you’ll... More
