We had dinner at this wonderful restaurant.. Everything was perfect.. Thanks a lot for this lovely experience..
Just 50 m off the main tourist walk, great local food and very friendly service. Excellently spiced and perfectly prepared food. Visited by both tourists an locals, it seems. Not too busy a place.
Stopped here for a meal in passing at lunchtime. It wasn't busy and we were booked to visit the KGB museum in 1.5 hours time. The maitre'd assured us our food would be ready in 20 to 25 minutes. It actually took nearer an hour. The service was poor and slow. The complimentary tea was stewed. The food was reasonably... More
Just had dinner at Ulvi Kook. We were a group of 4, with 3 of us looking to eat fish and 1 wanting some meat. We went here because the menu had salmon prepared 3 ways. After being seated and ordering something to drink, we decided on 3 salmon dishes and I pork. The waiter informs us they only have... More
Looking for a quieter route down from the old town, we came across Ulvi Kook. The Trip Advisor notice caught my eye as it was very complimentary. We were not disappointed. Delightful light lunch of a standard as described by other reviewers. Eating in the flower decked outdoor seating with only the occasional passing Toytown Tourist Train was most pleasant.... More
We had an excellent dinner here on July 11, 2013. The menu was in English and offered a wide variety of food. We selected a Greek salad to share for starters. We were served two tasty breads, dark and rye. My husband ordered a pork dish which he loved. The pork chop was covered in mushrooms, onions and cheese. He... More
Restaurant close to our hotel, off the main drag. Very quiet terrace. Server was great. Food was excellent. Price OK. Music exceedingly bland. My wife had a most delicious salmon soup. I had pancakes with caviar, also excellent. After that, we struggled to get through the substantial main courses (beef and pork tenderloin, respectively), although both were good. Definitely recommended.
Food was extremely good and liked the interior of Ulvi Kook. Service was fast and polite. Will definitely visit again!
On a Cruise on the way back from St Petersburg and found this place down a back lane of the Old Town. Place was empty when we got there but the owner tempted us in with his 5 star rating on TA Managed to negotiate a 10% discount but in the end paid in full and gave a good tip... More
Delightful restaurant close but away from the bustling old town centre was perfect for us after a day travelling from St Petersburg. Quaint decor, cosy fireside, on a damp night. Delicious steaming hot soup, and substantial mains well received. Beautiful flower boxes adorn the outside dining area which looked very inviting the next sunny morning. Love to return.
