We loved this restaurant. Being big fans of goose we had the goose liver terrine followed by roast goose leg. Wonderful wine, attentive service and a great atmosphere. The restaurant is full of books and has a comfortable feel. Sunday night is a very popular night to eat out so I suggest booking.

Leftover food! Ok service and fast delivery, but not worth it's high rating at tripadvisor... The meat in the goulash soup was chewy, and the mushroom soup was tasteless! The goose leg was good.

I have been to Kiskakukk two times now and I have not been disappointed. Food is pretty good there, there is a wide choice of soups, meat (even game) and local favorites. Prices are okay but do not expect this place to be on the cheap side. Service is pretty good, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere too. Recommended.

We visited twice and did not have reservations but were easily accomodated. I found the restaraunt on trip advisor and liked the reviews and menu. The name means Little Cuckoo in english, it was a traditional hungarian restaraunt which seemed to have a mix of locals and tourists eating there. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere relaxed... More

The restaurant has great history, being founded in 1913. Located on the quiet street, it offers you to relax in the middle of busy day of tourist in the Budapest. I had gulyasleves - goulash soup - and game, my wife chicken strips with potatoes. Together with four colas it was for ~9200HUF. Can recommend it.

After searching trip advisor for reviews to find a restaurant for the groups last night together in Budapest, chanced upon this one and decided it sounded like us and we weren't disappointed! This is well worth checking out if you find yourself in the capital. The plum soup was eagerly devoured by one of our party who declared it a... More

Last year we dined here in two consecutive evenings (The second was our tribute to our pleasure f the first...) Excellent Hungarian food. Very professional and helpful service. After having both the divine game soup with estragon, and the goose liver starter, each, we said we would share a one dish of main course, they brought it already on two... More

We(my parents, my 14 year old son and I) dined here 2 nights in a row as the food was so good and plentiful and there were so many things to choose from. My father ordered every liver dish available, my son ordered a duck dish the 1st night and was presented with half a duck which we all found... More
