If you are searching for CZE food and beer is one of the spots in the city that you will be not disappointed The beer is their own, and the food is good old Czech style cuisine.
This place is a fake representation of an authentic old pub. All decoration is too much and kitsch. The people serving are not proud of the beer or place but just want to sell beer. They brew a dark and a light beer. Both are bland and lack character. For serious beer i would not recommend this place.
We love local beer and I hoped for sth better. Place is full od Russian tourists who come only once so there probably is no need to fight for regular customers. Nice place, Bawarian style. Big comfortable tables. Beer was ok but not sh special we expected. We also had an impression they add gas to beer... well what's the... More
My wife and I enjoyed dinner, the food, the beer, and even the service. Up until it was time to pay, everything was great and we planned on leaving a generous tip as we were happy with it all. The server failed to provide a written bill however. Instead, he hurriedly "added" items on a pocket calculator, out of our... More
The food here was tasty, the atmosphere was kitchy.....could use some dusting but that is fine...I am sure it is tough keeping up on a place that size. It is huge.....the service here however was deplorable. The waiter I think only has the job because he speaks english. the bus person helper guy was 18 times more efficient than the... More
The atmosphere here surrounds you at once when you enter and you are taken back to the medieval Prague when beer was served in big jugs and pigs were still intact on the plate. This is a thoughtfully decorated medieval restaurant and brewery. There are several rooms in different sizing, making it possible for bigger groups to come here. I... More
this is an acquired taste, and I have to say not mine, but a large group of us celebrated here and greatly enjoyed the banquet. we had a back room to ourselves deep within the restaurant, beer barrel was already waiting and the mammoth portions of food were soon to follow. a whole pig arrived in a tray with more... The brewery is very close to Wenceslas Square. The staff was polite and the service very fast. We tasted the traditional czech cuisine and it was good enough. The beer was excellent and the prices very reasonable.
we have been there with a Group of 15 People after a disapointing evening in U-Fleku. The service was friendly and fast, the own beer excellent. Next day we went there for ´having dinner. We can recommend all meals and sidedishes we had. The portions are really big. I had the grilled "porktail" for the first time in my life.... More
this is a well regarded place; we went there sandwiched between two older legendary pivnice - U fleku and U Pinkasu. This is younger, more locals, more hip. Walked in, hostess immediately greeted us and went to work to find a table for the 8 of us. Pleasant fast service by good waiter. We'd already eaten so we didn't have... More
