Several times a year we stop off at Morans for some great seafood. The standard is always consistent, service good & friendly ... it has become somewhat of a ritual. For anyone who hasn't visited yet try it you will come back again & again.

One steak an two fish dishes to die for! Absolutely magnificent, do not leave Galway without visiting!
Truely the best seafood my family and I have eaten in some time! We love locally and im devastated I've been messing out! Not ant more! My kid's love it! Yes fish! Amazing food! Beautiful view! Helpful staff! Great Guinness!
We have been visiting Moran's for over 25 years. The seafood (oysters, mussels, crab) are always fresh and simply outstanding. The atmosphere in the original small pub in the front of the restaurant is worthy of a film of "old" Ireland with peat fire and two snugs.
The white stucco exterior with red trim and thatch roof adds to the...

Excellent food and service worth a visit. Called in on route from Limerick with no reservation they seated us with no delay, and the fish was so tasty. The staff young and very friendly. Very reasonable price too. We bought some of their brown bread to bring home. Will return for sure.
Visited Moran's today and was very disappointed. We ordered seafood chowder and a vegetable soup for starters. First thing I noticed both looked the same in appearance. The chowder for me was unlike any I have ever had. It was impossible to tell what fish it contained because it was flaked so much, not to my taste at all. 2...

It seems the Morans are expert oyster shuckers and the oysters were good.
The Lobster was fresh and well prepared although the tomally seemed to have gone awol - must ask about that the next time. And there will be a next time.
Great atmosphere, great service. We got there early and got one of the snugs to ourselves and...

Had a midafternoon Sunday lunch at Moran's today. We had the grilled oysters, the warm crab claws, the seafood chowder, the Mussels Provencal and the Fish and Chips. It was all excellent. It cost us nearly as much to get there and back from Galway but we'd do it again in a second. The service is first rate too.
I popped into Moran's twice over the last week. And found on both occasions the food was top notch! It is a beautiful spot. You get a great welcome from the lovely staff. The original part of the place has an old world feel of times gone by. It really transports you back to another era. They serve deliciously fresh...

Came here for the first time with high expectations. Location, staff and atmosphere in the front bar were excellent. Seafood was good but not out of this world. Fresh without doubt but perhaps lacking a little bit if variety or imagination in the menu. Price reflected the freshness of produce. Would recommend the experience if you are in the vicinity.
