Had the fish and squid with chips. I think oil should have been changed earlier. Chips "oordinary", squid had a bad taste. Couldn't finish the squid due to the taste.( I am a squid lover also). Staff were firendly.
A great little fish restaurant, very rustic and cost. Food great. A must!
Been here on numerous occasions and again with family visiting last week whom wanted to go eat there. Every time the batter is terrible, they are so busy and popular that the oil in the deep fryer makes the batter taste terrible. Our family of 13 all removed the batter from our food. We love the squid shack! Despite its initial appearance, the squid shack is a fantastic place for dinner. The fish is fresh and tasty and there are wine glasses in the fridge if you bring your own bottle of wine. It seems to be loved by locals and tourists alike.
Loved the salt & pepper squid; it was fresh, batter was yummy and chips were fried just right. Portions were generous.
