I often have to travel through the Mountains for work, and Loaves & The Dishes is the best place to stop for a break or a meal on the way through Leura. The food is excellent, the service friendly, and the wood-fire creates the right ambience in the autumn and winter months. Ideal for a place to get a good... More

Called in on a Thursday around 9:00am for brekkie. The place was empty. I was a little concerned but I had been here a couple of times a few years ago and it was good! I wasn't disappointed the service was quick, my tomato and goats cheese on sourdough was yummy. The coffee was pretty good as well. It was... More

If you're looking for gaslight ambience and the clinking of silverware, this is not the place for you. But after a morning of sight seeing on a cool autumn day, this was perfect. Steaming bowl of lentil and vegetable soup served up quickly, followed by a smooth as silk ricotta torte. The atmosphere is cheerful, warming, and somewhat noisy without... More

Good selection of food. You can eat in or take away. Nice to sit down and look out of the large windows and watch the world go by. Fresh food.

Had lunch here with my wife and 2 year old daughter, while showing a friend from overseas the area. Leura is a beautiful town, but it is always hard to find a good place for lunch, this was not an exception. This place was full at the time so it was hard to find a seat, it was also a... More

We had lunch at this lovely cafe. They had delicious frittatas and quiches. Lots of healthy food, but also had some not so healthy, for those like my husband. I had a salmon and leek frittata and it came with light salad. It was delicious, and my hubbie had a toasted ham and tomato focaccia. Both meals were very tasty.... More

We started the day with coffee here and came back for lunch. Wonderful coffee, good service (even though they had just been though the Easter long weekend) and very good food.

While the food looked amazing in the display case it was tasteless and extremely over priced. There are many better options in town.

Just ordered drinks - they were served to us at the table very promptly. The food in the display case looked great - but we had already eaten lunch. Lots of gluten free options

We've been keen to try this place for a while but we wished we hadn't! We were there for lunch with our two kids. There was no highchair and we were made to feel that our kids weren't welcome. We asked for a small serve of pasta for our son and we were charged $16 for a basic penne with... More
