This place knocked our socks off. Pies piping hot, teaming with meat, excellent pastry and great spices. we went 2x in 4 days.
loved this place! bought 5 pies from there over a short 2 day stay in town. loved the lamb, and venison, and bacon&eggs. everything is under 7 dollars, and well cooked. A great breakfast option!
we were told by a local that these pies were unusally good. We had Lamb and mint and Thai Chicken and were not disappointed Thanks Sean for the nod..!!

However, we stopped by Miles Better Pies when we arrive in Te Anau because we were hungry and wanted to wander along the front! OMG! These are the best... More

After a truly memorable but grueling couple of days on the Kepler - we wandered into Miles and were instantly gratified and fortified with the best Pies I have ever had! We started with one and quickly tried two more- our favorite was the lamb mint, but the venison was equally good! A must stop for all hikers!
the second time visiting Miles better pies. the smiley young girl made me a fantastic coffee latte. that's a nice surprise, cause i haven't expected a good quality coffee from a small pie shop. then i had Thai curry chicken pie which is delicious as well.
We passed by Miles on a tour bus to Milford Sound. Ian, our driver / guide pointed it out as worth a visit, even as we parked a few blocks away for a quick stop. It was raining but we made our way over, and was it ever worth it! The hot Venison pie the house specialty, were absolutely delicious,... More
