We had a quick stop and grabbed a half burger which hit the spot perfectly. I craved a Velvet Burger as we continued our travels. Highly recommended for a quick and easy lunch.

Most Dunedin students have fond memories of Velvet Burger, but its certainly not just a student haunt. Was great for a quick and delicious meal before the rugby. And the introduction of the smaller burgers since my last visit was welcome too.

delicious burgers - packed full of fresh ingredients between soft light bread that doesn't weigh you down - we ate at the Octagan Velvet Burger and were lucky it was a quiet sunday so got to chow down pretty quickly - highly recommend

Great food and service, busy place full of uni students and travellers. The vegie options are delicious and reasonably priced. Make sure you the hashies, they go down amazingly with cider and a burger.

This is what burgers should be like. Eating one of these is like having a meal, not a snack. While they are more expensive than the chain variety, the are cheaper than the adjacent pubs with similar fare. We went to the Stuart Street shop. The whole area humms. The venison burger is the best... and you can order a beer if you like. The chips are good also... the staff are friendly and they have two locations in town!
