This is a great place for lunch, having great food and great ambience. The mussel chowder and the blue cheese soufflé were outstanding but the wines let us down. We ended up buying bottles from nearby Bladen Estate and Forrest.

I had a tasting at this winery in April of 2012, but didn't have time to stop for a bite. This time we took a family member there for lunch so there were 3 adults and one child. The food was delicious, the service excellent (and prompt for our son, which is always important for us parents) and the wine...

We had been traveling the south island of New Zealand for about three weeks and were now coming into Marlborough wine country and Blenheim. The night before we made this trip, I reviewed restaurants on TripAdvisor, and booked a reservation at Wairau River Wines Restaurant strictly on the basis of its number one rating. After driving the east [Pacific] coast...

EXCELLENT MEAL! Came back through Blenheim on my last rode trip just to have lunch here. Excellent wine, food and atmosphere!
Me and my 3 fellow travellers visited this vineyard for lunch over a bottle of wine. The rose was delicious and the pizza's were great. The food arrived quickly and was good value for money.
To kick-off our afternoon wine tour we shared the mussel chowder, bruschetta and steak sandwich, (along with glasses of pinot noir and sauvignon blanc of course) and thoroughly enjoyed each one! The setting was charming on the patio beside the vineyards. We'd love to return for an encore someday!
We stopped here during our bike tour of the Blenheim wineries, and were very happy with our decision ... the food was delicious! They didn't have many options, and specifically for those with dietary restrictions (lactose), but we did really enjoy the steak sandwiches we ordered with our wine. The winery has a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy the meal....

Although we had a bit of a wait, it was worth it. Go early if you don’t want to wait a while since this is a popular winery at which to have lunch. We both had a bowl of the Marlborough Mussel Chowder and shared a cheese platter of three cheeses, bread, crackers, chutney, grapes, apples, and pear. The chowder...

Great family owned winery. Wine and food excellent. Atmosphere equally amazing! A must do! Walking distance to MVH hotel, centrally located to all wineries, great weather in March!!
Very popular with the locals you should book at the weekends. Indoor or outdoor dining. Casual chic. The blue cheese souffle is worth waiting for.
