The cafe is almost always full. The food is great and the portions are quite generous. The staff is very nice and fast
Ate brunch here on a weekend in Wellington. I had the smoked salmon and poached egg on a hashbrown with asparagus and chive creme fraiche. My husband had the pancakes. We were both smiling for the entire meal. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was lively and fun. Will definitely recommend Fidel's!
This café was highly recommended to a friend of mine. I went with a couple of friends for coffee and cake. The service was fantastic and the variety of food and range of different drinks was very impressive. I had an 'Ice magic' which was an iced Americano, quite different drinking black coffee as a cold drink and debated whether... More

The eggs benedict with homemade hash brown were so good they literally put a grin on my face. The coffee was awesome too. Attentive service but not overbearing. Fairly priced and interesting decor. The snickers milkshake I had the day before was fantastic too. Even the toilets are nice. With two outside seating areas and a streetside coffee kiosk I... More
Having frequented most of the brunch outlets in Wellington, I can safely say that Fidel's is of the best, I haven't tried a bad breakfast yet! Milkshakes are also YUM. I went there for dinner which was good (halloumi and chicken) but not as special as the brunches.
The coffee and food is always excellent! Weekends they are always packed out so of course you're going to have to wait for a table and your meal will take a bit longer. But it's always worth the wait. You've got to go and try the waffles!!!
This was my first visit to Fidel's. Didn't see anything interesting on the menu, therefore, I tried the chicken pasta dish that was on special. Although at $18 it was a bit pricey the meal was pretty tasty. The chicken was nicely grilled and the pasta noodles were cooked just right. The restaurant was busy but it wasn't packed with... More
This cafe was recommended to me and I have tried several times to give it some chances as it us very close to where I live and would be the obvious choice for my coffee retreat. However the service is unusually slow if at all present and their coffee is rather uninteresting not to mention the food which you find... More
