LOVE this place! We went there for the two nights we were staying in Taupo because the menu was so good and we just had to try it again. The Pizza's are huge and delicious. We are big eaters and couldn't get through our mains both nights. Service was attentive and friendly.

We really enjoyed our experience at Dixie Brown's. The service was excellent, the food was good and the prices were reasonable. Couple these with a fun, casual atmosphere and you have the recipe for a good night out!

After being recommended to visit this restaurant for dinner by numerous people......I was NOT dissapointed!!! BEAUTIFUL FOOD, SUPER SERVICE, GOOD VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY! All this with lovely lake views from a amazing looking restaurant. Look forward to visiting again!!!!

It was quite a chilly morning and we were looking for some 'warming' food. We discovered Dixie Brown's down by the lake's front. While the service was very efficient and courteous, the quality of the breakfast made my wife and I go ‘wow’. Heaps of food and looked great, and it tasted even better than it looked. Will certainly return.

Wandered into this restaurant, partly due to it's Tripadvisor reviews, but also the fact that it was one of the only places busy on the night we were in Taupo. Menu looked fine. But the food was uniformly disappointing. A good steak and burger both ruined by the same packet brown sauce. Disappointing.

We had lovely coffee and dessert one night and a delicious breakfast the next day. Then we tried to go for dinner but they were booked out. It is a very popular location.
